But before we get into that, let's take a moment, check these out, and make sure they're gonna work for you. Underneath your motorhome, this is what the SumoSprings will look like, once you have 'em installed. And it's a really simple concept, but very effective. So more or less, these are just going to replace the factory style jounce bumpers. What these are for, the factory ones, are just to prevent your front end from bottoming out. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2014 Tiffin Allegro motorhome, we're gonna be showing you how to install the SumoSprings Rear Helper Springs. But before we get into that, let's take a minute we'll check these out and make sure they're gonna be right for you. This is what the SumoSprings can look like installed on your coach and you know, we just have our wheels off so we can have a much better look at what's going on and really show you guys how these work. But more or less, it's an extremely simple component, but a very effective one. What these are gonna do is attach to your leaf spring pack, all right And then the top racket attaches to the frame and this kind of closes that gap and fills that void there. more

Hi there, motorhome owners. Today on your 2018 Tiffin Allegro Open Road we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings for the front axle. You can see that it is a split bushing design so that way our front suspension here can experience full travel unhindered by our spring, but still get all the dampening effects that we like from Sumos. The SumoSprings are designed to compress up to 80% to provide additional support for your suspension. Now it doesn't increase the amount of weight that you can carry, but it just helps to support it so it eases the rest of your suspension. It also acts like a dampening device to help absorb impacts on the road when you hit pothole and stuff like that rather than it transferring directly through your suspension into the chassis. more

Hi there Tiffin owners. Today in your 2018 Tiffin Allegra Open Road we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install sumo springs for the rear axle. You can see the upper portion is attached to the frame and the lower section here is attached to our axle on the leaf spring stack here. And it has constant contact between both and it operates somewhat similarly to like a jounce bumper. The factory jounce bumper's located there you can see it as much smaller. But the big difference is that our sumo spring here is in constant contact all the time. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs here on our 2021 Tiffin Open Road Allegro. So here's what the factory jounce springs look like, and here's what our SumoSprings look like. And right away, we can tell there's quite a drastic difference. So the first thing you're gonna notice is the size. These SumoSprings are gonna be much larger, therefore you're gonna have a greater contact area with the surface. And number two, now it's kind of hard to see 'cause we don't have the factory springs installed, but the SumoSprings are gonna be engaged constantly, whereas the factory jounce springs here, they wouldn't be engaged necessarily right away unless we we're loaded pretty heavy, or we we're obviously hitting a pothole or the body was shaking there on the chassis. more

Hi there, Tiffin owners. Today on your 2011 Tiffin Allegro motorhome, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Timbren's suspension enhancement system for the rear axle.Here, you can see our two jounce bumpers side by side. Our factory jounce bumper here is significantly smaller than our Timbren. And that's due to, this is really just to be there for support when our suspension is fully bottomed out. Otherwise, this doesn't do anything. It never actually provides any support under most of your normal travel.With our Timbren being much longer, it's going to contact the axle much sooner than our factory jounce bumper would, so it can provide support throughout our suspension travel. more

Dave: Hi there, Tiffin owners. Today in your 2011 Tiffin Allegro motor home, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Airlift's LoadLifter 5,000 air helper springs for the front axle, and this is what our airbags look like when they're installed. They replace our factory jounce bumper, and they will go in a similar location between our front axle and our frame. They are a little bit slightly further forward, but they're going to perform similar functions except we're going to get those benefits throughout our suspension travel. Whereas our jounce bumper from the factory really only applies once our suspension has bottomed out to give us that support right at that last little bit of travel. Once you hit the jounce bumper on your factory suspension, you've basically exhausted the travel of your suspension, and it gets really stiff at that point, once you're down on that jounce bumper.With our airbags here, we can use air pressure, and you can see that we're contacting the frame and our axle right now when we're under just our normal load, and we're already getting support from our airbags now, before our suspension is even traveled down in its normal resting position. more

And this is what your new SumoSprings are going to look like when it's installed. These springs are a two piece design. You have a permanently attached upper half and a permanently attached bottom half. What's nice about it being a two piece design is you have infinite suspension travel. more

SumoSprings Maxim Air Helper Springs Installation - 2015 Tiffin Allegro Motorhome- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford F53, this is the Tiffin Allegro, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs. These are for the rear axle and offer a 5,600 pound capacity. Part number is SSR-183-54-1. Here's what our spring looks like once we get it installed. As you can see, it's going to ride right on top of that leaf spring and it's active at all times, so this is going to give us very light support, just slightly firm up our ride, slightly give us a little bit more side to side stability. Where it's really going to shine is when we start doing that cornering stuff for that side to side. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle on our 2012 Tiffin Allegro Motor Home. Now here at etrailer.com, we get a lot of questions about motor homes, specifically about suspension upgrades. Because whether you've been driving for a little bit or for a long time, you realize real quickly that motor homes are real top-heavy. They don't handle all that well, and we end up fighting the steering wheel and just kind of have a nervous feeling when we're driving.Well, and that's partially because the suspension isn't really all that tight, and it ends up having a lot of mushy feeling to it. Our SumoSprings in the back are going to help support all that extra weight, because typically you'll have a bedroom or a bathroom towards the back, and that's a lot of weight to put on the rear axle, not to mention if you're flat-towing a car with you so you can enjoy the campground, go out to dinner or anything else. That extra weight of the car is all pushing down on the rear axle.So, extra support would definitely help out with all that swaying feeling and to support that extra weight. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the SumoSprings Rebel custom helper springs for the front axle on our 2012 Tiffin Allegra motorhome.Now here at etrailer, you get a lot of questions about motorhomes. Specifically about suspension upgrades, because let's face it, whether you're new or you've been driving a motorhome for a while, we realize that they don't handle all that well. They're pretty bumpy and there's a lot of area here for the wind to catch, which means that we're going to start getting pushed around on the highway. If we get a strong gust of wind, a truck drives by, we end up fighting that steering wheel because we're getting pushed to the side. Not to mention everybody in the back's getting tossed around. We really can't enjoy our motorhome. more
